about the artist
Hi, welcome to my world! My name is Gracie LeClercq and I'm currently a sophmore at the Univeristy of Colorado Boulder, College of Media, Communications, and Information with a focus in Advertising, Design, and Public Relations. Ever since I was young I have been surrounded by art and graphic design. Growing up, I watched my mom create her interior design brand from scratch. Seeing how far she has become and always observing her works come to life has been the biggest influence for me.​
Growing up in the busy and artistic city of Seattle, I was also shown all the opportunities the arts hold for me. I delved in many art classes throughout high school and even took a summer course at Cornish the college of Arts specializing in Graphic design and photography. However, this summer I was introduced to another passion of mine, Traveling! Recently I just went to Rome, Greece, Turkey, and Malta, and that trip made me realize just how import travel is to me. Another thing that shaped me as a person was growing up with a love for swimteam (my mom’s side swam for many generations). Throughout my 12 years of childhood, I swam for a club swim team that taught me many lifechanging lessons and filled me with lasting friendship. Swimming showed me the value of hardwork, positivity, kindness, teamwork, and determination. As I get older and more experienced in the world of advertising and graphic design I hope I can incorporate travel into my art based lifestyle by using the lessons I learned throughout my childhood. My biggest dream would be to have an internship or job in either London or New York City, and possibly owning my own company one day. Can’t wait to see what the future holds!
